Why can’t I just focus on the top 20% of my items – the old 80/20 rule?

You certainly can, but in the endless isle of Amazon, every individual SKU has to stand on its own two feet. There is very little sales impact on the lower quartile of your brand because of successful best sellers. This also provides a unique opportunity as we often see products that are slower sellers for the company excel on marketplace.
