Jon started his career as an attorney, working with startups in the field of trademark and patent protection. Jon found he preferred the business and strategy side of these engagements, and soon pivoted to business and technology consulting in the SaaS products space. Jon spent 10 years as an ERP / CRM consultant for mid-market and enterprise clients, largely in the ecommerce space. Jon enjoyed ecommerce consulting because it requires the intersection of a number of key areas of business operations: Inventory management & forecasting, warehouse management, pricing / promotion strategy, user experience, digital marketing, data integration, and financial reporting.
In 2014, Jon became a Partner in another digital services agency focused on ecommerce, including UI/UX, development, and digital marketing. Jon played multiple roles as owner/operator, including VP of Sales and VP of Operations, ensuring clients were effectively onboarded and their work successfully managed. In these roles, Jon was able to add breadth to his experience in translating client business goals and needs into an omni channel commerce strategy.
In 2016, Jon co-founded Brandwoven in an effort to more directly target the needs that he saw from his ecommerce clients for a more holistic management approach to their marketplace strategy. Leveraging his combination of ecommerce, creative, and digital marketing background, Jon helps the Brandwoven team operate holistically across the multiple disciplines that are required for brands to effectively compete in the digital marketplace ecosystem.
Outside of his professional life, Jon has lived in Portland, OR for the past 10 years. He’s married with two kids (boys, 8 and 6), and enjoys golf, sci-fi/fantasy novels, and craft cocktails.
Be like the rocky headland on which the waves constantly break. It stands firm, and round it the seething waters are laid to rest. ‘It is my bad luck that this has happened to me.’ No, you should rather say: ‘It is my good luck that, although this has happened to me, I can bear it without pain, neither crushed by the present nor fearful of the future.’
