It determines where a product appears relative to other products for a given search query. We regularly audit and optimize product listings by incorporating keywords into titles, bullet points, descriptions, and the listing backend to ensure products are properly indexed and will rank higher for relevant searches.

The frequency of our audits often depends on the product category and seasonality of the product, but if sales are trending down, SEO optimization is the first thing we evaluate.

What is the best way to test out new titles and bullets on a product listing?

We use A/B experiments to test out new titles and bullets. We recommend running an experiment for at least 60 days to ensure a sufficient amount of data is captured on sales and conversions results before we make a decision on which content performs better.

How do you use A+ Content alt index text?

When launching new A+ Content or A+ Premium, we do a full SEO analysis to ensure we capture all of the most relevant search terms in titles and bullets. We then use backend keywords and the A+ modules to add additional keywords that we want to rank for but don’t want customer-facing. These often include misspellings of the top-searched keywords, Spanish and other non-English translations, and any other keyword variations. Our client service team strategically adds the keywords to the A+ modules that best match them.

I am searching for my product on Amazon using a specific keyword, but my product is not showing up. Why?

If the keywords are not included in your customer-facing content, the backend, or alt text, your product will not index (show up) for that specific keyword.

How many characters can my titles and bullets be?

The number of characters Amazon allows is specific to the category. We believe in capturing as many characters as allowed, especially for titles.
