When does selling on Vendor Central make sense for a brand?

High-volume brands with strong margins, established distribution networks, and products that benefit from Amazon’s marketing scale often thrive on Vendor Central. However, a proper operational framework is still necessary for long-term success. That’s why it can be crucial to partner with a marketplace agency like us to ensure every aspect of your Vendor Central business operates as planned.

I don’t have a Vendor Manager – can you help?

It depends on your size. In many cases, despite having great relationships within Amazon, Vendor Managers are currently not managing businesses of less than $5M, and in some GLs, as much as $20M. What we can do is offer solutions to be successful on Amazon or other marketplaces with or without a Vendor Manager, including offering solutions for Seller Central in select cases.

Can you help me get a price increase?

Short answer: likely. Price increases are dependent on many factors that differ for each marketplace – Amazon being one of the most challenging. We put our brands in the best position possible to capture price increase as needed and have successfully pushed increases through, even in challenging times. That said, we can’t guarantee it.

Why am I not getting orders?

Yes, we have connections within Amazon that help us every day. That said, turnover is frequent and we often encourage brands not to hire an agency based on relationships. Amazon, Walmart, and Target are algorithmically-driven programs first and knowing how to operate within those programs is most important – even beyond relationships.
